car extraction plan

A nice chap called Pedro has come up with a great idea for extracting the car.
A jig like this one, with wheels fixed to the side, might be just the ticket.
Fixed to the hubs on all four corners, maybe, then tipped onto its side and wheeled out?
Thanks Pedro!

Just don't put any fluids in the car before you move it like that (Petrol, Oil, gearbox oil or brake fluid) otherwise you will be cleaning it up for ever.

Yes good point.
You may have to remind me of that a bit closer to the time!!
Thanks jeffw

I think it's a great idea and might even be possible with all fluids in. You just need to plan ahead so as to have the filler plugs for everything on the same side. This way there will be one direction where you can tilt the car and not have anything leak out. You don't even need to fix the jig to the hubs; just make it with troughs for the wheels and straps that strap the wheels down into the troughs. This way the car will be stuck onto the jig just as surely as if it was bolted on. And you won't have to unscrew your wheels.

I like your thinking,gottingen!
Making it as easy as possible to get in and out will be a priority. I plan to do lots of work on the car in the off season,ie: winter.
I am not going to look into it too seriously for now.I am confident that it is doable, and will concentrate on building the car,and just keep the frame design at the back of my mind for now.
Great ideas though,thanks.
